Your Unique Ceremony

INSPIRED IDEAS

Whether you would like to arrange a bespoke Wedding, family celebration or memorial, I will help you plan your ceremony to be as unique as your dreams.

I will be honoured to make your day as personal as I can and the 'flavour' of the day will be entirely up to you. Do you have in mind a non-religious service or would you like a prayer or two included? Together, we can plan your service to be as spiritual (or not) as you wish.

As an Independent Celebrant, I am not restricted by the set services some organisations offer, nor will we be restricted as to the venue and time of day (or night)! Your Wedding could take place standing on the beach under a moonlit sky or a Handfasting at Stonehenge at dawn - I have many ideas to inspire you to achieve the day of your dreams - we could include a Handfasting and/or Sand Ceremony if you wish; or how about a Unity Candle? By including these elements, we will be able to give your family and friends a chance to participate. What a beautiful memory for your loved ones to say 'I was part of this happy day.'  I am passionate about celebrating love and welcome enquiries from anyone and everyone.  We will create the ceremony that becomes part of the day of your dreams.

If you would like a themed Wedding, I am more than happy to accommodate your ideas and I would love to encourage you to think 'outside the box.' Family celebrations are a delightful way to bring you all together - Wedding Vow Renewals, Baby-Namings, Family Blendings and Graduation celebrations are all within my repertoire and let's face it; who doesn't love to have a special day with the people that mean the most to you?

Memorials are a chance to reflect on a life that has passed and to celebrate the person that was your loved one. During this very difficult time, I can help plan the service that best reflects your loved one's life and wishes and working closely, in the comfort of your own home, we will draw together all the elements that made your loved one so special. You might like to include family and friends in the service and I have many poems and readings that you might think capture a moment in your lives together.

My fees are as follows:-

For a Wedding or Handfasting Ceremony, I charge £850.  This is an all-inclusive fee for my services but does not include extra expenses such as admission fees or anything that is outside my control.   (For your peace of mind, I have Public Liability Insurance).  Your ceremony will be written for you and with you and I include travelling expenses within Dorset and Wiltshire. If you would like me to travel further, I am happy to do so and will discuss with you any further travel/accommodation expenses - I aim to be as transparent as possible regarding any fees and costs. You will  also be able to contact me as many times as you wish via telephone and email/Facetime as we are crafting your ceremony.

You should be aware that any Wedding style ceremony will not be legally recognised in England and Wales.  To formalise the legal requirements you must attend a Register Office (if you desire legal recognition) - as the law stands at the moment, I am not authorised to provide this service although I am permitted to do so in several US States.

For Baby-Naming and Family Blending Ceremonies, I charge £200.  As above, this is an all-inclusive fee for my services (not including admission fees etc).  You might like to consider having Family Unity Candles or a Family Sand Ceremony - these are beautiful and meaningful ways to include the people most important to you on this special day.

For a Memorial or Funeral Service, please give me a telephone call.  I am able to travel within a 15 mile radius of Christchurch, Dorset, and my fee includes one meeting with your family to listen to the memories you have of your loved one and to discuss any element you would like to include in the service.  Following that meeting, I will create a bespoke ceremony,  which I will email to you  prior to the Memorial or Funeral Service, for your approval.  If you would like family members or friends to be involved in the service, I will happily support them if they need help choosing passages or poems and, on the day, if they do not feel able to deliver their chosen piece, I will 'stand in' for them.

You may, of course, contact me by email - I am here to do everything I can to make this time as bearable as possible and I have some lovely ideas to include people who might not be able to attend; and I will provide a 'keepsake' copy of the service for you.  If you are at all unsure, please give me a telephone call or drop me an email.  I will do everything I can to help - I  have some lovely ideas to include to honour your loved one - please, just ask.  (As Memorial and Funeral Services are sometimes arranged within a very short time, I will require my fee at our first meeting.)  If a Funeral Director has been appointed, he/she will take care of my fee on your behalf.

Before I start to write a Wedding or Blessing Ceremony, I will request a £200 deposit but ONLY when you have decided to use my services.  I want you to be entirely happy that you have found the right Celebrant and except in the case of Funeral/Memorial services, our first chat is on an informal basis, with no charge to you.

The balance of my fees will be due as follows:  For all ceremonies other than Funeral/Memorial ceremonies,  I require the remainder of my fees 6 weeks prior to the date of the ceremony - all payable by Bank Transfer please.  (I will give you the information you need as part of our contract).

IMPORTANT - YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL: You have a right to cancel this contract without giving any reason within 14 days of entering into this contract with me.  However, if the service of this contract has been fully performed, that is, completed, this contract cannot be cancelled.  In order to exercise your right to cancel, you must inform me of your decision by a clear statement (ie. a telephone call, letter sent by post or email.)  To meet the cancellation deadline, you should let me know that you wish to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
