Your Unique Ceremony
Creating a special Memorial or Funeral Service for your loved one is a labour of love - one which I will feel truly privileged to write.
Together, we will craft a ceremony which will honour their life in a personal, heartfelt and genuine manner, having spoken with you to include in the service, elements of the life and personality of the one you love.
Memorial and Funeral Services are as individual as the person we honour - I am comfortable writing a service that might include prayers and hymns, or none at all. You might want a non-religious Funeral but with a prayer or two added to honour family and friends who might be of faith; please know that I will do everything I can to help.
I have a comprehensive file of suitable hymns, poems and music that might help you if you are unsure where to begin and if a family member or friend wishes to say a few words, I am very happy to write the service to include their reading. I will also be with them just in case the day becomes too difficult and they do not feel able to speak, I will become their 'voice' for the service - my wish is to support you all through this difficult time.
Please do not think we are limited to Crematoria either. You might feel more comfortable having the service at home or at a venue or place that has special meaning - we will discuss these ideas when we meet.
I have been fortunate to forge wonderful working relationships with some of the Funeral Directors in my area, all of whom will do their utmost to meet your wishes. Their expertise is second to none and I feel privileged to know each and every one.
While I am writing about some of the choices you now have when planning a Memorial Service, I am aware you might like to honour your loved one by having a 'themed' service. I will write the ceremony to include as much (or little) of your special ideas you wish - again, I have some lovely ideas - please just ask.
Please give me a telephone call to discuss my fee in which I include, travel anywhere within a 15 mile radius of my home in Christchurch, Dorset. I include one meeting with you either at your home or a place of your choosing and if you or I need to check anything, we can make further contact by telephone or email. On the day of the service, I will meet you at your chosen venue and I will prepare a 'keepsake' copy of the service for you, with my love.
If you do not feel comfortable approaching me directly, please contact your chosen Funeral Director and give him/her my details - the Funeral Director will contact me directly and take care of my fee. I will liaise with your chosen Funeral Director to work to create an order of service and any special requests you may wish me to pass on.
